David Long

I'm a retired Coast Guard Officer who retired to Ferndale WA in 2006 to be near my wife's family. I worked in many areas of electronics while in the service, earned a MBA late in my career, and became a CPA shortly after retiring from the service. I didn't like the public accounting world too much and my wife had transitioned from hotel sales to property management. This led to us deciding to start our own property management company in early 2010. We built a solid business and employee a half a dozen great folks and opened our own general contracting business to do repairs in early 2016. Now, I find myself very interested in pursing our own rental properties in pursuit of an early and long retirement. I'd like to learn how to be a good real estate investor and pass that knowledge along to my children some day.
