Real Estate was not my first choice. I started out in music. My degrees are all in vocal music, my bachelor's degree from WSU in 1995 in vocal performance with a minor in German. After WSU, I went to Rice University and graduated in 1999 with a Masters in Vocal Performance. After graduate school, I went to Leipzig, Germany on a grant from the DAAD in New York City to study German for two months. After I returned to Houston, I sang with a theater in Houston, Opera in the Heights and sang there for two seasons. In 2001 I was accepted into the chorus of the Houston Grand Opera. I sang there for six seasons. It was during the 2005 - 2006 season that I work in real estate for the first time. In fact it was during a performance of an opera by Mozart, Idomeneo, that I realized that my love of music was not as strong as I thought. I was on stage listening to one of the best operatic tenors in the world and I was bored out of my mind. I was thinking about looking for real estate deals. It was a turning point in my life. It was in 2005 that I did my first deal and I have been in real estate ever since. That was all in Houston, TX. I worked in Houston as a bird dog and then, a wholesale investor working with a Home Vestors franchise till about 2008. During that time, I did my first wholesales, and short sales. I also had the opportunity to work as a Realtor assistant. I decided to move home to Wichita, KS in August of 2008. I decided that I was going to get my Kansas Real Estate license and start working with real estate investors. The purpose was to learn the market, since it had been such a long time (13 years) that I had lived in Wichita and also, I want to learn more about investing. Real Estate investing and investors is where my passion lies. I'll work with traditional buyers or sellers as well, but working with investors is where my heart is. Currently, I am working with eXp Realty, LLC, here in Wichita.
