I have been investing in real estate since 1994. While a long time, I didn't get serious until 2012 when I purchased 4 rental houses and in 2014 started flipping houses. I am currently at 8 doors and looking for more rental properties. In addition to residential, I own a commercial property. My "Why" is to build a rental portfolio, so I can retire from my job with sustainable cash flowing rentals after the next downturn.
