I often hold myself to a virtually unachievable standard, and inevitably fall short of what I want. I then proceed to feel like I have accomplished nothing in this process. I can see now that this is essentially what life is: failing, succeeding, and repeating. I may not always achieve the very thing I set out to accomplish, but I learn along the way. That's all I can hope for. I work every day at continuing to build foundational habits. Currently, I have a 155-day meditation streak. I also listen to podcasts and audiobooks every day. I now feel much more fulfilled reading, exercising, and journaling as often as I can, instead of consuming unhelpful content (News, Social media feeds, TV). I consciously replace negativity with positivity wherever possible. Current Favorite Books: Stillness is the Key (Ryan Holiday), Daring Greatly (Brené Brown), Finding Ultra (Rich Roll), Can't Hurt Me (David Goggins), The Obstacle is the Way (Ryan Holiday), Meditations 'Penguin Classic Edition' (Marcus Aurelius), Atomic Habits (James Clear), Crucial Confrontations (Kerry Patterson), & Fingerprints of the Gods (Graham Hancock). My favorite books of all time are: Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill), The Richest Man in Babylon (George S. Clason), Why Nations Fail (James Robinson), A Brief History of Time (Stephen Hawking), 12 Rules for Life (Jordan Peterson), Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude (Napoleon Hill), & The Millionaire Real Estate Investor (Gary Keller). My most audacious goals: - To own 10 rental property units within the next 3-4 years, ultimately having a portfolio of over 100! - To have 5 different streams of income, generating 6 figures in at least 2. - To continue teaching myself to play classical piano, eventually being able to play the theme from the movie "Interstellar", composed by Hanz Zimmer. - To travel to 35 more countries within the next 15 years, reaching a total of 50. - To continue learning music production, and getting a paid gig as a DJ, performing both original songs and mixes of popular music. Some of my proudest accomplishments: - I placed 3rd overall in the state of North Carolina in a national songwriting competition at the age of 13. - I got my mortgage originator's license as soon as I was eligible at the age of 18. - I have been the youngest employee in the last 4 companies I have worked for, all roles included. I am driven by deep compassion, doing my best to help others realize their true power and potential through achieving their wildest dreams, and by understanding their true value as human beings.
