Have read so many articles and books about the success people have had in real estate while starting with very little to no money. We are in a fortunate position after having worked and saved for many years where we DO have money and are actively looking to deploy it in the smartest way possible. Recently retired after a 20 year career in advertising. Wife and I are both serial savers and have always chosen to invest any surplus rather than spend frivolously. We have had good fortune (for the most part) in real estate - buying near the bottom of market cycles on 2 different occasions. Currently own 2 homes in North San Diego and looking to purchase a 3rd to eventually convert to either a traditional or vacation rental property. Since retiring a few months back, have really tried to immerse myself in learning more about real estate and various methods to generate income. This site has been a wonderful find.
