My wife and I began this journey near the end of this summer - 2015. We are both in our mid-50s, work full time, and have a joint mortgage in sunny San Diego. The pitch to enter REI was promising, and I invested my small retirement fund for the prospect of a better future. Now that the rose colored glasses are off, we need more detailed information and sustainable guidance of REI. We understand the formulas, talking with prospective homeowners in Pre and Foreclosures, but no real money to begin the process. We have a LLC established out of state, a business account in our home state of California, and understand with our first transaction will allow us to register in our home state. Our goal: we want to do the right steps helping homeowners with distressed property, and help build communities with residential and commercial properties. Being Newbies, we want to start with Wholesales to bring cash, then move on to flips, or rehab and rent, HUD homes, etc.. We are open to all and any advise, connections, joint ventures. We are part-time for now, with REI. Once we find our "Cheese"(ref: "Who Moved My Cheese" fable), may be we can then move from our salary positions to full time property investors.
