Ed Kirk

Ed is an applied technology visionary responsible for IT infrastructure development, implementation and training. He enjoys leading the evolution of all aspects of communication from end to end, including: customer communications, front end Website development and deployment, and back end process automation. Ed initiated and updates customer proprietary information security and privacy policies. He sources talent acquisition and continues to assist in HR policy refinement. Ed aggressively pursues identification, development and Implementation of best practices anywhere they may be applied to improve customer UI (user interface) experiences and business efficiencies. Ed updated and is Editor of the Fundamentals of Real Estate Investing (Third Edition, 2017). He is known among his colleagues for always bringing a fresh and innovative perspective when providing strategic analysis and modern thinking to processes and procedures throughout any organization. Ed has a BA in Math & Economics from Boston College with departmental honors. He passed Actuarial Exam P, and has been a keynote speaker at national audiences as well as a presenter at the World Bank. Ed is a community activist who currently serves in many roles in his local community: • Development Committee Chairman and Trustee for the James Blackstone Memorial Library • Webmaster and Fourth Degree Member of the Branford Knights of Columbus Eldorado Council 10 • Basically Qualified Auxiliarist for the Branford Flotilla 24-01 of the US Coast Guard • Volunteer docent for the Friends of Outer Island (in partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service) • Prospective incoming Board Member for the Nat & Jack Farrell House (transitional housing for men) Ed enjoys reading, kayaking, sailing, boating, and bicycling. He is married with four grown (you might even say “above average”, to paraphrase Garrison Keillor) children.
