Investing in Eastern NC and Western PA Experience: I am pretty new to real estate, I started taking a big interest in 2017 after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. I can say it changed my outlook and started a passion for real estate investing. I bought my first investment property in 2018 utilizing a VA loan as my primary residence, then started collecting rent once I completed my time in the Military. I moved back to small town Butler PA, and have been studying/ making connections in the Western PA/ Pittsburgh area. I recently closed on my second investment property (duplex) using a FHA loan. I am living in one of the units and collecting rent from the other, which covers my mortgage payment, insurance and utilities. 12 months from now I plan on purchasing a larger multi family home to house hack, collecting rent from the two previous units. I am currently working as a shift manager at a steel mill, but once I achieve 22 units that cash flow $200/unit min I plan on leaving and focus on investing full time. Real Estate Goals: I will buy one multifamily unit this year and refinance in order to put myself in a position to acquire another multi family unit within the same year. I will also keep my eye open for any other potential flips in order to build capital. By the end of next year I will purchase a smaller apartment building anywhere from 5-20 units and begin to scale into bigger apartment buildings. Currently Seeking: I am currently seeking small multi family units (2-4) and smaller apartment buildings. (5-20) units in the Jacksonville NC or Butler County PA areas. I am also seeking funding and any advice!
