Bought my first duplex in LA in 2003. Moved to the SF Bay Area in 2015 and bought my Oakland triplex in 2017. I have been nurturing my passion for real estate in addition to my day job in VFX for film/tv/commercials for over 15 years. I didn't know what a house hack or BRRR were until I found Bigger Pockets but I've learned from BP that I have already been doing versions of this! Experience: Hobbyist investor who started with a duplex as an owner occupant/"house hacker" back in 2003. I am renovating a triplex in Oakland (FHA 203K 2017-2019 - ask me about nightmare contractor stories!) and broadening my focus to acquire more multi-family residential in the greater SF Bay Area eventually. I am looking forward to learning about 1031 exchanges and short sales. Real Estate Goals: I look forward to learning, connecting with like-minded individuals, find great deals, grow my portfolio, cash-flow while pursuing my plan B (going back to school) and have fun while doing it.
