Indie Victorian romance author (Belinda Kroll) with a taste for architectural salvage and questionable timelines. I spent my high school years helping my family flip-to-rent so I'm comfortable with cosmetic fixes, and, I'm a Kickstarter veteran so creative fundraising is very familiar. The goal: a short-term rental that also hosts writing retreats, small weddings, and the kind of multi-generational family gathering that needs a folding table for the overflow. I've got $12K in cash saved, I'm pursuing Ohio MBE/WBE certification, and I'm funding the rest the way I fund everything — through my readers. I've run several small Kickstarters for my books, and I'm opening a companion Shopify collection where contributors get stickers and a running renovation diary while the work's underway. My family will get first dibs on a few weeks a year, because a home away from home should still feel like home.
