New investor looking to build financial independence and retire early. My plan: What is my end goal? Own 5 rental properties by the time I’m 36. Be financially independent enough to retire from my day job at 40. By this time all properties will be paid off. What will my Strategy be? Pay with cash for properties as much as possible by saving as much of my cash flow and income as possible. What will I not do? I will not leverage more than 100k at a time. This is because I don’t like being in debt at all. What kind of properties am I interested in? Exclusively single family homes and condos. How often will I buy? Once every 3 years.
