It was a hobby until more recently when I met up with my current business partner and formed H L Homes, LLC in 2011. We were flipping houses on the side with our full time jobs using HM to fund the deals. I was working in a corporate job in the Houston area and wanted to go full time real estate. Our HM lender at that time was looking to hire another loan officer so I made the switch into direct work with real estate day to day. I learned more in my first few months working as a loan officer then I did as a hobbyist flipper. As I grew with knowledge we started doing more deals in H L Homes until about 2 1/2 years when the investing side was taking more time then the lending. At that time I decided to help run our business full time. We did 67 wholesale deals in 2014 and now are did a mix of wholesale and rehabs in 2015. H L Homes as a company did over 120 houses by 2016. 2019: We are focused fully on flipping (buy, fix, and sell) of SFR in the Houston TX metro area.
