I am a 38 year old professional that works in the civilian defense contractor field, focusing in quality assurance on Naval vessels, from surface ships to nuclear submarines. It requires significant travel, domestic and overseas. It is a completely different career for me from where I started. I was an attorney for 5 yrs and realized quickly that it just was not the career I wanted long term. I am glad I made the shift, I find far more fulfillment/satisfaction in what I do now. My current goal is to pursue multifamily syndications for passive income & wealth building that are open to sophisticated investors, so long as the numbers work and I get a good sense of the integrity of the syndication sponsor(by far the most important factor). My strategy is to continue to diversify my net worth into real estate from a previously heavy focus in IRA/HSA/401k Wall Street product accounts. I am currently invested in 9 private multifamily syndications so far, across 15 different properties in Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Most are apartments but several are mobile home parks in a fund and a NNN single tenant industrial sale leaseback structure.
