My family owns several pieces of real estate in California, but we're not at all educated about how to do it most efficiently and with the best returns. I'm looking to expand and build on what my dad has already done. Experience so far: I've been going out with my dad to paint and clean carpets in our rentals since I could walk. My parents turned over title to me on one of our properties, so I did a rehab and the valuation is way up now, but the cash flow is not that great because of California market - definitely not 1% rule. I have not yet done a deal of my own - I am working on it! Goals: Securing the equity that is in my own property Stabilizing my parents' current portfolio Investing out of state (my existing property is in California) Managing my own property (just for learning) Getting a loan license (just for learning, but who knows... anyway, I already have a degree in finance) Interested in: Connecting with like-minded BPers and partnering to do BRRRR deals.
