Michener As long as I remember, I have enjoyed entrepreneurship and performance-based compensation. As a thirteen-year-old boy, I printed flyers and marketed myself as a handyman and an extra all-purpose set of hands. The flexibility and variation of work was so satisfying that it has been a driving force behind my employment ever since. This also manifested into a bias towards performing. Whether doing an open-mic, improv-scenes, or a professionally choreographed BMX show, I feel relaxed and alive when in front of others. These endeavors also birthed my deep love for people. I believe that everyone has value to add, and when we set each other up for success, it only leads to more significant results. That is what business development is all about. My love for people has evolved into a passion for creating tight-knit effective partnerships. When effectiveness and efficiency are on the line, working as a team becomes essential. Business Development has gotten a well-deserved bad rap over the years, and I am here to change that. Too often, Biz Dev has become about taking what you can and burning down the rest.
