My husband and I just started in real estate investing. We just purchased and moved into our first duplex. The upstairs is currently rented. We want to purchase more multifamily properties to help us reach financial independence and support our retirement. We have two little girls, a new baby boy and I enjoy being able to stay home with them. My husband has a full time job as a painter but it is usually a seasonal job and labor intensive. So I would love it if we were able to earn enough through real estate so he could work from home. Before my second daughter was born I was a manager for most of my career, mainly in marketing. I love research and from what I have read so far, it has made me very excited about becoming a landlord and managing properties. I want to be a great landlord and be able to support my family as well.
