I read a book when I was a teen called "how to wake up the financial genius inside you".That was 1977 and I was concerned about inflation and the skyrocketing price of oil.The book claimed that real estate was the best hedge against inflation which was pretty bad in the late 70's.The author was of the opinion that real estate would double every ten years and that turned out to be a fairly close prediction. I'm a mobile power systems consultant/technician by trade. (The a/c and d/c electric systems on boats,Rvs,motor coaches and specialty vehicles.) I'm considering getting into some area real estate investing and I am here to soak up everything I can.
