I run 3 businesses: A 26 year old lawn care / landscape business, a small web design firm and our 48 unit rental real estate portfolio now in year 8. Experience: Decided to get into RE after the stock market sunk in 2008. I'd been reading books about it for 20 years and it was time. Bought a couple of single families, then got hooked. Accumulated 51 units in 3 years. My wife Deb and I have a reputation as the "go to" landlord for the local colleges and have stopped buying to perfect what we have and ease into retirement.
