Became an accidental landlord after my first property, purchased in 2005, had lost more than half of its value. I purchased another residence in 2011, which is now a rental as well due to a forced moved out of country (military). I never thought of either as an investment and therefore now lose just over $300/mo combined. I have spent the last few months building my financial literacy and learning about real estate. With my new found knowledge, and the knowledge I will continue to gain, I hope to turn my losses into passive income.
