Ike Hobbs

I grew up in the Wichita KS area and moved back into the area 2021. I have a fulfilling career as a firefighter, but one of the reasons I moved back here was to start personally investing in the area. Looking right now to establish connections with experienced local investors and those that are doing work in the area. I've got construction experience so looking for cosmetic rehabs mostly but still sighting in my strategy. In my free time I'm an avid crossfitter, hiker and like doing things outdoors. A little about my background. I was a normal RE broker in the seattle area for the last 5 years but about 2 yrs ago was pretty burnt out and realizing that career was not for me. Slowly started to switch careers to become a firefighter and materialized that dream by moving back here to KS. Although the repping RE transactions was not my forte, understanding the investing side is something I've been working on for awhile. Of course the Seattle area is much different than Wichita so I'm looking to understand the significant differences here before making a move. I did move back here to invest so basically it's what I'm working on during my free time from work. Update 2022: House hacking my first duplex and learning a ton!
