I am a licensed real estate broker in the state of Oregon with a degree in Communications, as well as years of experience in media, marketing, corporate finance and insurance. I've developed strong relationships in the Eugene/Springfield community, and enjoy connecting people to the resources they need. I develop affordable housing, provide free real estate education and referrals, and donate 10% of proceeds to charities that alleviate and prevent homelessness. As a young homeowner, I learned my lessons the hard way. I thought buying a house was "a good deal" because my monthly payment would be the same as my rent. I didn't negotiate the purchase price, I knew nothing about inspections, insurance, or maintenance, and had no savings. Before long I was behind on my property taxes, drowning in unexpected debt, and my house was falling apart around me. I decided I had to learn everything I could and get myself out of the mess I had created. I discovered real estate investing, earned my real estate agent's license, and set my sights on helping others avoid the painful mistakes I had made. My company, Here to Help Housing, is founded on "doing well by doing good". By providing free real estate education, consultations, and referrals, we help people find solutions to bad situations. By purchasing and renovating distressed properties, we create safe, clean and affordable options for solid new beginnings. And by donating 10% of proceeds to charity, we help those in need transition back to supported, affordable housing.
