Jalen Henningsen

Hi friends! My name is Jalen Henningsen! I am 24 years old and I am passionate about real estate investing. I recently graduated from Buena Vista University with a degree in Business Administration specializing in finance and marketing - I also played football. I am currently a credit analyst at MetaBank - I specialize in agriculture and commercial real estate loans. I love books, superhero movies, sports cars, some hip-hop, BiggerPockets, and entrepreneurship. Experience: I'm currently in the process of my 1st investment property - it is a owner occupied single family home and I plan on using the BRRR strategy (Buy -> Rehab -> move -> rent -> refinance). I plan to live in it for 1 year (rehab it throughout the year), refinance for a down-payment for my 2nd project (203 k loan in a bigger market / 4-plex is the goal), and then proceed to rent my home out (I will no longer live there). Real Estate Goals: Long-term: 1. Have a billion dollar portfolio by age 40 - to achieve my dream of starting a luxury hotel/apartment company. 2. Own 7,500+ multi-family homes that bring in 15% returns by 1/1/2035 (across the nation). Short: 3. Discover a city I can move to that will offer the most potential for my real estate investing career. 4. Buy my 1st multi-family home (house hack) by 1/1/2019 using 203 k loan (not sure where, but leaning towards Orlando). 5. Be a full-time real estate investor by age 28 (have enough capital to start a full time real estate investing business). Personal: 6. Drive a McLaren P1 OOV by the time I am 33 years old. Currently Seeking: I am seeking a mentor/educator, friends, and partners. I listen to the podcasts and read books daily. I need the real life experience to help me find out the direction for my career.
