Hi y'all! I'm a licensed Civil Engineer in Texas who works for Land Developers on residential & commercial projects. I'm here to network & provide any help from an engineer's perspective to the Bigger Pockets community! Also Licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, and Ohio. My Experience: I've worked on single family subdivisions ranging from 8-acres to 80-acres, multi-family complexes, plus tons of commercial/retail lots. Depending on the project, I've been contracted directly under the developer (owner) or sometimes we work under an architect (typically only on our commercial/retail projects). We are able to assist developers in rezoning, replatting, and of course the actual civil engineering design package. A typical civil design includes the site grading, design for the roads (or parking lot), water & wastewater utilities, and the storm sewer design. I have projects all across Texas, so I am used to having conversations with City staff members becoming familiar with each City's regulations and development criteria.
