I grew up near the Salem/Keizer area in Turner, OR. I didn't move far. This helps me be fairly knowledgeable about the area, although there's always something new to learn. I've had a few jobs over the years, and they've all led me to real estate investing. I'm no longer wondering what I want to do when I grow up - I found it! ++ Experience: In 2008, I bought my first investment property - a bank-owned duplex I still have today. I got a good deal, rehabbed it, converted carports to garages, and rented it up. Now it's one of several buy and hold properties we have. About 6 years later, my side job became my full time job... and I LOVE it. I have purchased flips, wholesale, and buy and hold residential properties. I have purchased a storage facility. I write up the contracts or use a realtor. I figure out the financing, manage the repairs and updates. In 2019, I hired a property manager to free up some of my time. I really enjoy working out deals where everyone is happy. I also help moderate the Northwest REIA Salem Round Table meeting in Salem, OR. ++Real Estate Goals: I want to have enough cash-flow from buy & hold real estate to cover all expenses (including replacing spouse’s income) - we’re close! Then let's shoot for owning 100 residential doors (or more storage facilities), and revisit the goals :-). ++Currently Seeking: 1) Multifamily properties. Prefer Marion, Polk, and Linn Counties within about 30-45 minutes of the Salem, Oregon area. 2) Storage Facility. I'd like to buy another storage facility or a similar cash flow business. 3) Investors to network with at the Northwest REIA Salem, OR Round Table meeting in downtown Salem, OR.
