I started my journey by listening to BP when I left my job as an Army Infantry Officer to go back to school in 2017. I got my RE license in July 2017 to learn the local market. In February 2018 I bought my first home. Followed by another in 2019, 2020, and 2021. I also worked as a commercial credit analyst underwriting commercial loans for all types of businesses including CRE for almost two years. Both my job as a RE agent and underwriter taught me a lot about being a good investor, minimizing tax obligations, and maximizing ROE using leverage. Now I work with a much higher earning W2 job which helps me to finance more acquisitions. I plan to leverage the equity in my portfolio (which has grown in aggregate value by more than 40% the last two years) to finance a BRRRR strategy.
