Jasmine Calio - Founders, WNN Properties I started out working at the post office. My plan was simple, save up money slowly to use as a down payment ever few years. If I did well with saving every penny, being cautious with every dollar and do without a few luxuries here and there, I should retire by 55 with a handful of rentals, and call it a win. I didn’t love my job, but I didn’t hate it either. I figured slightly above average was good enough. At least I could provide for my family, and that was more than some people had. Then everything changed. CJ got injured at his job with UPS. Suddenly, the future we thought we had felt shaky. He grew restless, frustrated, and desperate to find a way out. He needed to replace his income and I needed to help him. That’s when our plan shifted from a 25 year crawl to a 5 year sprint. In those five years, we built our rental portfolio from nothing to 90 doors and freed ourselves from both of our jobs. And that’s when the questions started: “How did you do it?” What I did for my family is rare, but why should it be? Why should financial freedom, stability, and peace of mind only belong to a few? That realization lit a fire in me. I knew that if I stepped into my purpose of teaching others how to create stability in their finances and build peace of mind, then they could step into their purpose and impact the world. Because when people aren’t worried about this month’s mortgage payment, they have the freedom to focus on the bigger things they’re meant to do. That’s what drives me now.
