I am a new aspiring Real estate investor, I was a tradesman and then had a chronic illness,Lyme Disease,and have spent the past few years learning about real estate investing and am currently working with my fiancé on our first two-unit building. I am currently doing as many of the repairs as I can which include completely gutting the bathroom, doing floors in other rooms. Trying to decide if I should convert to a three bedroom from a two bedroom unit. I still have to change windows and change the roof as soon as the weather gets a little better.The main level is currently rented and the upper unit is not but the lower unit covers all the buildings cost.This is going to be our first BRRRR. I am learning a lot with this renovation, my body is definitely feeling the limited work I am trying to do. Lyme disease has left my body with a lot of nerve damage and may other symptoms but I am trying to keep working through this. I feel like at some point I am going to write an account of my journey on our first BRRRR with chronic illness Update, We are very close to having our duplex finished, but an opportunity for a two year lease before purchasing at the end of two years. So we closed on that and now have a triplex added to our rental income properties!!
