Jason Hopkins

I am from Detroit Michigan and a graduate of Central Michigan University. I have been living in Memphis since 2002. I have left on two occasions but always made my way back. I personally own 15 doors for buy and hold investment in Memphis. 6 out of the 15 homes I own free and clear. Before I became a full time investor I worked as a distribution manager for 14 years. I’m married with two daughters and a son. I enjoy traveling, exercising, sports, and smoking a good cigar once in a while. Experience: I have been involved in real estate since 2005. I started getting involved with it part time in addition to working as a distribution manager. I fell in love with it and saw it as a way to not only make money but a way to leave Corporate America in the future. I was a realtor for a few years first and when the market crashed I stopped practicing but continued to read books on RE investing. In 2009 I jumped back into RE and bought my first rental property. Since then I have purchased eight more. I started back working as a realtor which has been fulfilling. I have completed 30 plus wholesale deals in addition to a few fix and flips. Real Estate Goals: I would like to get to a point where I’m wholesaling 5 deals per month and increase my rental properties to 16 in the next two to five years. One to two years from now I would like to have my website up and running which will feature a blog, RE discussions, podcast, networking, and mentoring/coaching opportunities. Without a doubt RE is my passion. It’s true what they say, when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work. Currently Seeking: Currently seeking sellers that want assistance in selling a house that they no longer desire to have. Also seeking buyers that are interested in purchasing rental properties. Networking with other RE professionals is always a plus.
