I have spent the majority of this year doing research (everything from online blogs, to real estate investment meetings, and regularly listening to the BiggerPockets podcasts). I would like to focus on buy & holds with a conservative approach to investment (50% Rule and 10% maintenance even for a brand new house). Please contact me if you want to know more. Experience: I still have yet to invest. I've been a renter my whole life, and given the trend of Silicon Valley housing, primary residence ownership here is not a financial goal of mine. Real Estate Goals: By 2020: 1 - Own at least 5 cash flow generating houses (regardless of geography). 2 - Purchase (and successfully exit) at least two tax lien certificates 3 - Have enough knowledge and capital (or access to capital) to do at least one flip. Currently Seeking: People willing to share their knowledge on acquiring <$50K houses on a systematic basis.
