Started a hard money syndicate with my brother and a couple partners in college. Sold out in 2013. Worked in commercial real estate brokerage for 3.5 years after college focusing on multifamily and net-leased investments. Had some wild years in CRE, being exposed to a very different type of real estate investor than most people run across, with net worths in the $100 millions. Ended up working for my biggest client in private equity sourcing acquisitions in $1 million-$35 million focused on retail, office, land and multifamily in California.
