I have built a 2 bedroom guest cottage in my back yard that is being used as a short term rental.. I've learned the ins and out of construction as I've acted as my own general contractor on the project. I have certainly learned a lot about pulling permits and hiring contractors and just building in general. Real Estate Goals: To develop a nice portfolio of short term rentals with a good balance of long term buy and holds.
