I'm a investor and a business owner I purchased my first rental at age 17 and had 5 properties ( 12 units) by the age of 24 ( 1994) with an original investment of $3,000. ( $1,000. down and $2,000 put into improvements ) I now hold 22 properties ( 24 rental units) most are in Oakland county, Michigan. ( Holly, Pontiac, Keego Harbor, Madison heights, and Clawson ) and I also own a STR in Hilton head, SC. And a 1/4 share of a home at Crystal mountain, in Michigan. Product only and or installed. Having both these business has helped them both grow. My skilled window installers will do flips when were slow. and this helps during the winters. This has allowed me to have more installers and grow the window business ( 20 employees as of 2024) . I have also purchased homes from some of my clients, and have a small net work of tradesmen who do work on my rentals and are window customers. I have 3 property managers ( depending on there locations) to handle the day to day operations. I have a beautiful wife and 2 daughters ( 16 and 13as of 2024) My wife works in the commercial insurance brokerage industry.
