I am an investor and real estate agent based in Gainesville, Florida with Keller Williams Realty. My wife Julie, and I embarked on our real estate journey by both obtaining our real estate licenses in 2016. She continued her W2 job while I jumped all in as an agent. For the first few years I managed flips for out of state/country investors and gained so much knowledge and decided I was ready to do the same thing for myself. Our first property was a small condo which we purchased with an FHA loan which allowed us to get in with only 3.5%. We did small updates ourselves like flooring, painting, light fixtures, and miscellaneous items and lived there for about 18 months. After we acquired our second property in March 2020. This property needed a whole house remodel! Smelled of Cat pee horribly! Covid slowed things down but ultimately we finished the remodel and moved in. We wanted to scale faster so we decided to use the help of a private lender for the 3rd deal. Ever since the first property we have flipped houses, added some long term rentals into our portfolio and we are up to 6 long term rentals currently. We self manage our properties and have dabbled in STR’s which we weren’t fans of. Looking to grow our portfolio so my wife is job optional if she decides to quit.
