I'm a W-2 social justice attorney who loves her work but doesn't want to work forever! My dream is to take a "sabbatical" before I'm 50 and travel for an entire year, with the help of passive income from real estate. Am a landlord x2, both for properties that began as primary residences (one cash flows great, one just breaks even). Now learning to be more intentional and think like an investor as I prepare to take and deploy equity from these properties into new investments. Currently looking in OH and PA. Also working on various home projects building up DIY skills to eventually take on a live-in flip! I am thinking a lot about what it means to me to be an ethical real estate investor and community minded actor in this wealth-generating space and excited to connect with others who have the same orientation. I consider housing a basic human right. It is a privilege to be in a position to own assets like real estate and providing housing for people is a serious responsibility. I am interested in how social good can be created through real estate, not just money!
