I grew up in Fort Collins and then moved to Golden for college. I studied chemical engineering, but 90+credits in I realized that while I had the aptitude fit engineering, I don’t have the temperament for it. I knew I wanted to be self employed. I got married and started selling real estate. After 6 years I got my insurance license and started selling life insurance and annuities. The Great Recession convinced me to let my real estate license go. For the past 4 years I’ve been working as a contractor. We bought a condo at age 23 and kept it a few years as a rental after we bought a house with a basement that we could rent out. I’ve managed other people’s rentals for a few years. The biggest property I ever sold was a 10 unit apartment building. The house we’re in now was an IRS tax foreclosure. We bid at auction and won it. It was the first time I used a hard money loan. I helped people buy and sell rentals and flips. I successfully oversaw one lease option from beginning to end. Biggest strength is probably problem solving, seeing the big picture, finding the angles. Looking to add rentals, multi family or college student. Want to BRRR them.
