Jeremy Roberts

I am a married father of four serving my last tour in the US Navy. I purchased my first house in 2001 and began renting it out in 2005. As an inexperienced landlord, I made the same mistakes many investors did during the housing crisis, but managed to keep my rentals. I discovered Bigger Pockets because of Brandon Turner's book and it has fueled my desire to expand my investments and achieve financial independence upon completion of my military career. Experience: I purchased my first SFR in 2001, converting it to a rental in 2005 when I also purchased a second SFR. I learned some expensive lessons throughout the housing crisis, but still have both SFR with a GOI of $531 and $441. I received my real estate license in 2013 to help others, expand my knowledge of real estate and streamline my access to the housing market. Real Estate Goals: I believe real estate is the cornerstone of opportunity in our society. I want to use real estate investment to replace my income and achieve financial independence while maintaining a healthy supply of affordable housing in the communities I invest in. I want to own 427 units within the next 10 years. Currently Seeking: I am currently seeking to invest in either single family or smaller multifamily properties which I can add value for the tenants.
