Lived in Tacoma while going to school in Seattle. Upon graduation moved to Seattle and was shocked by the rents. Rather than put money into the pockets of big apartment complexes, bought a house and rented to friends. Later found out the term is called Househacking. It has snowballed from there. Currently have 3 STR's, 3 LTR's, and house that I live in and 1 rehab that will ultimately be a LTR. All in Seattle. All in a HOT HCOL market that is supposedly impossible to make good cap rates on.
