JJ Conway

Janine “JJ” Conway is a financial planner and Air Force veteran who came home from a 6-month military trip to find her house sold, her stuff thrown out, divorce papers in her face, and over $845,000 debt racked up in her name. The skills that got her out of debt the first time are the same skills that helped her tackle this beast. They're simple. They work. They're what she now teaches: money management, personal leadership, and real estate investing. How did an Air Force Physicist get into financial planning? Since she graduated from the Air Force Academy (a free school), you might be surprised to learn that JJ started her career mired in college, wedding, and honeymoon debt. She was rescued by the late Larry Burkett, whose only payment requirement was to later help someone else get out of debt. She began assisting fellow church members with their debt-free journeys in 1998, and began teaching real estate investing classes in 2007. Real Estate Investing Experience: JJ bought her first property in 1999. At one time, she controlled a portfolio valued over $1M, but those properties were heavily leveraged and when the market crashed her life crashed with it. This is why, though she does, "for completeness," teach about private lending and hard money lenders, JJ prefers to cash-flow her investments. JJ loves how real estate investing helps her clients build wealth when they thought it was too late.
