I grew up in a Real Estate home - my dad was a developer on the East Coast - and while in school (went to college fairly close by), I worked for him with the idea that I would be a partner in the business after getting my degrees. After I had a streak of idealism get the better of me, I changed directions and went into the field of education (yes, you can officially call me crazy - I've done so on countless occassions - although there were an abundance of personally rewarding aspects to working with youth ). Yet...I often found myself second guessing my decision and wondered on a consistent basis if I should consider a switch to Real Estate. A few years ago I decided to take the California pre-licensure classes and get my license with the idea that I wanted to focus my RE activities in investments. Since then, I've made some smaller SFR purchases, and principally been learning as much as possible about REI so I can go forward with as much knowledge and confidence as possible.
