John Corey

I started working in Silicon Valley in 1982. Part of my day job included being online. Before anyone invented the term 'social media'. I co-authored HP's Unix standard (HP-UX) before moving on the NeXT. While there I spent about a year working for Steve Jobs. And a friend from my NeXT days later co-founded LinkedIn. I helped a bit by being a beta tester. I moved to London to work with Swiss Bank Corp. Today they are called UBS. After my first year at HP, I read a book, took a seminar and bought my first house, Nothing Down. Today you would call it a 'house hack'. Again, I was doing it before there was a term for it. These days, I like to say I have property from Hawaii to London England. I spend most of my time in London with regular trips to the USA. Combining my tech and real estate experience has turned into being a subject matter expert in crowdfunding for real estate.
