Currently, my wife and little guy are house hacking. We live in Newark, DE a block away from the University of Delaware. We share our house and all amenities with 2 graduate students and have been for the past 5 years when we purchased our house. This has given us the ability to save and start looking into purchasing a multifamily and led us to the BiggerPockets podcast and website. So far we have been very impressed with the amount and information in the content available for free. We purchased our first multifamily July. One of the units has a tennant and the second one has a contract for a tennant as soon as we finish renovations. During my youth, I have learned a lot about the business but was never pulled into it by my family, regardless of me showing an interest. A few years ago I finished an undergraduate degree in finance and finally, I am starting to put that knowledge to hopefully good use. I will update and polish this later.
