John Vashon

John Vashon, Principal, is a mobile home park investor in Northern California and the Midwest. He graduated from California State University, Chico, in 1982, and worked in the software industry for 20+ years. Starting as a consultant and instructor, he moved into sales and sold more than $100M in software to information technology managers and business owners in medium to large sized companies in all corners of the US and Latin America. John purchased his first rental property in 1992 and completed 25 more transactions for his personal portfolio, buying and selling single family homes and condos and exchanging into multi-family residential properties. Experience: Iron Oak Properties is a family business that invests in and manages a portfolio of mobile home parks. We are in the affordable housing business and currently own 7 properties with about 350 tenants. We buy, improve and hold for the long term. Real Estate Goals: Over the next few years we plan to sell our current properties and use the proceeds to complete 1031 exchanges into new parks.
