My wife and I are fairly new to rental properties. We currently own 2 rental properties close to our house. The first house, we lived in for a couple yrs until we built our forever house. The second rental was bought from the profits off of a house flip we did a couple yrs ago. I run one of my dads companies, doing HVAC/ chiller work in the mobile medical field. My wife is a 2nd grade teacher at a local elementary school. We also have a 60 acre farm that we raise grass fed Angus cows for a producer for Whole foods grocery. We have a 18 month old daughter and one on the way too! We are currently looking for our first 5+ unit off market to purchase to start our multifamily portfolio. Our goals are to keep growing on the size of multifamily properties. Our longterm goal is for us to eventually be our own property managers and hopefully take care of other properties for other investors. I plan on going back to get my electrical license, GC license, and maybe my real estate license too. We joined BP to network with other investors for advice, and connet with wholesalers to find properties. We also hope to be able to use private money and hard money as much as possible to fund our deals. We also would be interested in partnering with other local investors on larger properties in the future.
