I have been highly interested in the Real Estate business since 2006 after graduating from college. I was looking for opportunities for a entry level professional to really start to build wealth and be able to manage it myself. I did not want to get into stocks and other speculative investments. I moved from Detroit to Denver and it has been home ever since. I purchased my first property which was a fourplex with my wife and we lived in one unit and rented the other three. House hacking before it was even a term, but we can attest to how it helps jumpstart your financial success. My passion for real estate and growing my property holdings is stronger than ever. I took the next step on the transition from my career in corporate procurement to pursue my real estate passion. I went out and got my real estate license to be able to professionally manage investment properties for other investors. I am also a Realtor and licensed Community Association Manager as well. Experience: I have been a landlord since 2009 and now have 6 units in two properties. I have updated most of the units to increase the rents and increase equity in the properties. To this point, my wife and I have done almost all of the work ourselves. Real Estate Goals: My real estate goals are to continue to find multifamily properties that are in need of some modernization in up and coming areas of Denver or surrounding Metro area to Buy and Hold. This model has been very sucessful over the last 6 years in Denver as we have doubled the rent of each property we have purchased along the way. Currently Seeking: I am looking for multifamily properties in the Denver area that will need some upgrades and a little rehab. Looking for the next big area in Denver to invest in as we will be holding the property for the long haul. My current decision lie in the question of refinancing a strong cash flow asset in my two properties or do I leave them alone and try to find Bank financing for my next property?
