I am originally from a small town in rural Kansas but relocated to San Antonio, TX in January of 2013. I graduated from Pitt State University with degrees in Construction Management and Business Management. My first job out of college was as a Project Engineer for a nationwide commercial contracting firm. I have been in the construction industry since I was 14 and managed all types of construction. I have worked on small little house renovation jobs all the way up to billion-dollar civil projects. Since I was a kid I had always been drawn to real estate. I started studying the investment side of real estate in mid-2012 and house hacked my first rental property in 2013. I quit my full-time W2 job in March of 2015 because I knew real estate was the career that I wanted to pursue. I went ahead and got my RE License in 2015 because I realized the MASSIVE benefit it would have to me in my career in REI. Experience: My Construction/Real Estate Experience started back in early high school. I worked for a couple of different locate contractors doing all different types of projects for both residential and commercial. I worked construction all the way up until I quit my job in March of 2015 but I am still involved with all of the renovations and construction that we do on our properties. I started my investing career in 2013 with the purchase of a house hack. I rented out two of the bedrooms for three years and a half years then sold the property in 2017 and did very well on it. Since leaving the construction industry and going into real estate full time I have done dozens of renovations, picked up a few rentals, and developed property. I am also a Captain within StepStone Realty, which is the only investment brokerage that I have found. Being a Captain I am the first point of contact for the newer agents when they need assistance with their real estate transaction. Real Estate Goals: My ultimate real estate goal is to obviously build up my own portfolio with properties from all over the US but that is a long-term goal. I also truly enjoy working with investors from all over that are wanting to leverage my expertise in the local market to build their own portfolios. I also want to continue to build up my network of other real estate professionals as well as other professionals that are tied to this industry. Currently Seeking: I am currently seeking a couple of things. 1. Liked minded individuals that I can continue to expand my network and my knowledge base. 2. Properties that are good for either buy and hold, fix and flip, or development opportunities.
