The idea of real estate investing came to me by accident when I started looking at what it takes to purchase a home. I attended a local real estate investment group off Meetup.com to get information on home buying and home loans. The groups I attended had a no sales pitch policy, which made it really good. They also recommended Bigger Pockets as a place to get more knowledge. I did break one rule that I had for 2017. That was not to buy any real estate training, coaching, guru book at all, until I was done with my real estate courses to get my real estate license. Well, I broke the rule and purchased a Bigger Pockets membership. Experience: My real estate experience just started at the beginning of 2017. I have experience in residential remodeling. Also In the past I have volunteered at the county's local Area Housing Authority to help resolve conflicts between tenants and the local Area Housing Authority. To speed up my real estate education, I started volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in January 2017. This has been great experience. It has given me a taste of all the different aspects that goes into building a house, from foundation to the roof and everything in between. Currently Seeking: Seeking to learn more about real estate investing in the West Coast. More focused on cash flow then appreciation.
