Hi there! My husband and I did 3 successful house hacks in Pittsburgh, PA and we also own an Airbnb in beautiful Longmont, Colorado (Boulder County). We love REI because it's helped us achieve financial freedom and have more control over our time. But not total control - the real bosses of my life are my 6 year old daughter Eyva and 2 year old son Zeke. My heart sings when I spend time with my family, vacation at the beach (especially SoCal, we lived there for a decade in my 20s), hike in the Rocky Mountain National Park, or work on my yoga practice. Before starting my own business and becoming a real estate investor, I was a carbon accounting, life cycle assessment and corporate sustainability consultant, served as a Climate Corp Fellow for the Environmental Defense Fund, worked for a solar energy start-up, and implemented database software solutions for Fortune 500 companies as part of IBM's Global Business Services division. I hold a Masters in Environmental Science and Management and a Bachelors in Science in Systems & Information Engineering.
