I live in Longmont, CO with my husband and three young sons. We bought our first house (a condo) in 2009 with plans to turn it into a rental when we were ready to move to a larger space. We moved in 2012 and did, indeed, turn it into a rental. In 2017, after an annoying incident with a tenant (not a horror story, thank goodness), I decided to get serious about managing our properties like a business. Around the same time, I was actively seeking our next rental property so it was really time to get more serious on the management side of things. We currently have that original condo and a duplex that I'm rehabbing with plans to rent as soon as it's finished.
