Kawika Burgess

Kawika K. Burgess is the President and Chief Lending Officer of Alliance Commercial Finance, a nationwide lender specializing in commercial real estate financing, fix and flip loans, BRRRR financing, rental properties, rehabs, multi-family, and cash out refinancing for investment properties. Kawika has over a decade of executive experience in the real estate industry, has worked for the largest landowners in Hawaii where he was responsible for planning, development, and asset management for some of Hawaii's most significant landholdings. Kawika is an entrepreneur that has started, built, and sold businesses. He founded, built and sold the award winning Oahu Property Management company, dba Real Property Management Alliance. Kawika served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). At OHA, Kawika managed the day to day operations of approximately 170 staff, an annual operating budget of nearly $40m, and oversaw the agencies landholdings of over 26,000 acres valued at over $260m including some of Hawaii's most prestigious urban properties in Kakaako Makai. Kawika was also the Land Asset and Operations Manager at Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii’s largest private landowner. While there he oversaw the management, planning, and development of over 13,000 acres including commercial, residential, agricultural, and conservation landholdings. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and attended graduate courses in urban and regional planning at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
