I have a young family and a full-time career as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I've been investing in rural vacant land investing since 2016. Starting with no experience in RE investing, I became educated (on-going), jumped in, built a business, and have transacted $100K+ in raw undeveloped land deals. Perspective: I tend to take a contrarian perspective to most things. I believe there is value in identifying a problem/need and developing a unique albeit unconventional solution. I parlay my clinical expertise in human occupation and task analysis to: see hidden potential, problem solve, develop strategies to realize the value-add, and bring this opportunity to fruition. Investing interests: I have an interest in growing my land investing business and investing in mobile homes on land with eventual expansion in to small land development. I also have an entrepreneutrial interest in re-purposing mid-century modern commercial buildings and renovating vintage riveted aluminum travel trailers (Airstreams, Spartans, Silver, Streaks, etc.) in the spirit of conservation and stewardship to promulgate the sensibilities of an earlier, simpler (and healthier) time to a new generation and to translate this into new cash-flowing businesses. "North Star" Philosophy: I believe that the environment within which we live, work, and recreate, has an undeniable influence upon our experience as humans. In the role of RE entrepreneur, I have a responsibility. RE isn't just the four walls surrounding us or the dirt under our feet...it's a home, a community, it's where life happens...and where kids grow up and hone those skills to be our future leaders. Healthy "life environments" are becomingly undeniably important in our increasingly disconnected and digital world. Looking through the right lens, RE entrpreneurship is an opportunity to influence those environments and life experiences. I'm passionate about the "doing" nature of the maker/craft movement and the kindergarten playfulness of the mid-century modern design aesthetic: both are inspiring to me. Inspiration leads to abundance, and inspiration can be found in unlikely places! My big picture "Why": develop (ground-up or BRRRR) a unique vacation rental property and business with a social entrepreneur component.
